The most-anticipated netball event in Australia again promises a more exhilarating and action-packed weekend this coming October.
Gathering the netball powerhouses and netball newbies from all over Australia and New Zealand, the 2014 NetFest will again serve as the biggest playground for netballers in the country who will all battle it out in exhilarating challenges. Happening on 16 to 19 October in different locations across the Gold Coast, the four-day netball tournament will features a unique and exciting combination of netball, sun, sand, and surf. Aside from extreme sporting action, everyone can also enjoy great entertainment and a wide array of delicious food.
NetFest will have competitors choose from the traditional netball challenges, which are played outdoors, or beach netball tournaments, along with a great rance of social activities here on the wonderful Gold Coast.
From having only 500 participants when it started, NetFest has quickly become among the most popular and most-awaited netball events in the country, now attracting 1,757.
Among the challenges that competitors can choose to join is the beach netball competition, which will take place on the Surfers Paradise Beach. This will serve as an incredible experience if you love the sand and surf. Female or mixed teams a and should be are qualified to join this challenge with a maximum of six players for every team, and a total of four players allowed to play on the court at any one time. Promising a physically demanding game, this challenge may be done in a short time but it takes loads of energy and strength to overcome your opponent.
Over at the Firth Park on the edge of the splendid Gold Coast Hinterland, will be the Outdoor Netball which is also open to female or mixed teams.
