The Kingfisher Realty Burleigh Swim Run is a fun community fitness event and is open to everybody from kids as young as six years to adults 60 years plus. The event involves 400 metres of swimming and 3.84 kilometres of running, a distance that can be achieved by all ages and abilities.
The order of the disciplines may vary race to race for variety. The Zarraffa’s swim leg (400 metres) is off Burleigh Beach (water safety provided from Burleigh SLSC), and the Running Shop Run leg (3.84 kilometres) is performed on the path between Burleigh and North Burleigh (Sunday Race Series and Australia Day Challenge).
Whether you are a first timer wanting a fun fitness event, an inspiring athlete, an average Joe or wanting a challenge, the Swim Run Series is for you. The event is run and coordinated by Ty Dowker and Burleigh Surf Life Saving Club.
