Our Burleigh Heads Holiday Apartments is just minutes away from Tugun Beach. Tugun Beach is known for its pristine shores and laidback feel. It is less crowded than the other beaches on the Gold Coast. While away the time surfing, swimming, and sunbathing. There are good fishing spots right along the beach, into the rip holes. In addition you can fish off the Kirra and Greenmount groynes. Tugun Beach also has barbeque and picnic areas perfect for sumptuous feasts with the family.
For a bit of adventure and some exercise as well, walk through Currumbin Oceanway. The walk starts from Tugun and leads all the way to Palm Beach. This section takes you around Currumbin Headland and across beautiful Currumbin Creek.
Starting at Tugun Surf Life Saving Club, walk northwards. Cross Flat Rock Creek until you reach the famous landmark of Elephant Rock where you can climb the 61 steps to the summit.
A leisurely stroll will take you to Currumbin Rock round the creek mouth. Skirt Currumbin Alley which is a surfing Mecca, and finally end up in Palm Beach.
